Basic Beliefs

We Believe:

+ the Scriptures are true, authoritative, and sufficient for all of life

+ there is only one true God, the Creator and Sustainer of everything

+ this one true God eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

+ all things exist for the glory of God

+ humanity is sinful from birth, and this sin resides in the heart, which taints the natural man’s words, thoughts, and actions

+ the deserved penalty of the sinfulness of humanity is physical and spiritual death  

+ Jesus Christ was born from the Virgin Mary and was God in the flesh

+ Jesus Christ died as the sacrificial substitute to pay the penalty for sin

+ Jesus died, was buried, and rose from the grave, conquering sin and death, defeating Satan, and ascending into Heaven

+ everyone who turns to Christ as Lord and Savior through repentance and faith in Christ Jesus becomes a child of God

+ everyone who is a child of God will live for eternity with Christ, and everyone who does not turn to Christ will face the wrath of God for all eternity

+ the only hope for humanity is to trust in Christ, to receive the imputed righteousness of Christ, and to be saved by His sovereign grace alone
