In John 16:28–33 and John 17:1–5, we see Jesus preparing His disciples for the cross and reminding them that true peace is found only in Him. As Jesus lifts His eyes to heaven, we are reminded of His faithfulness, our gift of eternal life, and our calling to glorify God in all that we do.
